A Day in the Life of a School Chaplain

The Impact of Chaplaincy

Connecting, Teaching, and Spreading Hope in Hawkesbury LGA

"I work 1 day a week as a chaplain in a small school in the Hawkesbury LGA. There are 3 other schools in the region, and occasionally they interact, with casually employed teachers rotating around the schools. I teach scripture in 1 other school, and on 2 occasions, teachers I've worked with in the chaplaincy role have sat in my scripture lesson. Another time, attending a combined excursion, there were also children from Sunday church school, and the children were all very curious!!!

Our God of all connections is working all things together!

I ask God that I can honor His name and promote the gospel.

The Principal where I work as a chaplain utilizes me in operating canteen lunches (for approximately 8 children), helping with reading and math, providing many opportunities for interacting with children and staff."
